Just a tip for you who want to come here anyway usahain bring a jacket, the same shoes. Because the weather here is quite cold especially mornings and caution also beachhead in this cliff dry sand so, so pretty slick. Kan can wasallam especially if slipping little security here is not too good, only in pairs of bamboo. Yes probably because of the new, albeit essentially guts tetep big guys be careful. Do not bring children better, especially in the off wandering.

Now the palace is already passable Cliffs crowded than the beginning of May to August, so a little jostling at the edge of the cliff. Continue now also already existing entry fee of Rp 11,000 / person, it already includes insurance but not parking, for motor Rp 5,000 to Rp 10,000 cars. And do not forget, gasoline. Yes here is not the highway that every kilo there akang how gasoline sales.

Jalanannya

Tapi mungkin udah diperbaiki sejalan sama makin banyaknya orang dateng kesana.

streets
If the Tahura it roughly upward journey around 3,5km, deket only does it make speachless streets. It's been just passable damaged asphalt, imagine aja damaged asphalt road that rises feat really. The point is if you want to go there just follow the big road, just follow the signs Dago Pakar / Bukit Pakar, see big houses and will appear signpost palace Cliffs, Cliffs special signpost palace is quite small anyway, I think artificial residents so you must be observant. But it may already be fixed in line at the increasing number of people dateng there.

Okay enough so that I can share right now. Although the road was successful make my butt emotion, but guaranteed it will not nyesel visit there. Advice for all of you who want to Cliffs Kraton please maintain the environment, do not litter, do not pecicilan time on the edge of the cliff, so if you want your lives only paid Rp 20 million each insurer does please, and courteous. Oh yes if I perhatiin in Cliff palace mostly young people who came, seemed to make family travel is also less fit hehe. Btw if you want to get there from Jakarta / out of town, can find a cheap hotel in Bandung Area dago.

Green Canyon is in Cijulang, West Java, which is about 285 km from Jakarta (31 km from Pangandaran Beach).

This place is a group of cave, with stalactites and stalagmites are hidden behind green cliffs - maybe that's why it is called Green Canyon, a pun of the Grand Canyon in the United States. The local people used to call Cukang Taneuh.

To go to the cave, you should head for the dock and buy a ticket. When going on during holidays (let alone a long weekend), we can be sure you have to wait a few hours to turn up the boat to the cave.

The boats are operated tour of the local population, but arranged by the district. One boat can carry up to five passengers with the rental price of Rp 75,000. If you want to swim in a cave, you can tell the crew of the boat to wait, of course for a fee.

They will ask for Rp 100,000 for a full day, but of course you will not spend a day there. Tawarlah, maybe you can get Rp 80,000 and Rp 50,000 holiday season when it was empty.

If you do not like to swim, you can use the time to enjoy the scenery, also took pictures. Before the entrance of the cave, there is a small dock that is usually used by boat to wait. There were several vendors selling drinks and snacks.

One shortcoming of the Green Canyon is the maintenance that is still not good, perhaps because this place is relatively new attractions. Here, there are only three toilets and a small mosque, whereas during the holidays visitors can reach up to hundreds of people.

However, the locals took advantage by providing small rooms and a prayer that is more feasible, only the rate of Rp 2,000. The car park is opposite the pier quite spacious, with a cost of Rp 3,000 for a full day.

All around the parking area there is a row of stalls selling rice and grilled fish and coconut. You may also want to enjoy the local food such as lotek, karedok and salad mashed. In addition to low cost, very suitable to fill the stomach after tired of playing in the cave!

When that happens, you will be forced to take approximately 4 km to get the next ATM machine. Of course you do not want this to happen is not it?

The visitors can also do body rafting around Bat Cave. This activity is managed by the crew of the boat in cooperation with the local village youth. Tell the crew of the boat that you want to do body rafting and they will take you to the place. Time it takes about 3-4 hours and of course at an additional cost

There is no accommodation in Green Canyon. The closest hotel is in Panireman Riverside river mouth leading to Batu Karas beach, about 15 minutes from the Green Canyon. The other hotels are in the vicinity of Batu Karas Beach, tourist attractions will be discussed in the next article.

Travel Megalithic Coast in Ujung West Sumba, Indonesia

Sumba southwest shows its beauty through the village Ratenggaro. The village is special because it is located on a seaside cliff Ratewoyo. Its position overlooking the ocean with huge waves break up the rock. Straight ahead, there is no more land to arrive in Africa.

This village was originally located on the headland that is located right on the waterfront. However abrasion and tidal cause water into the house, so residents decided to move the village to a higher cliff.

In the former village on the waterfront remains a collection of megalithic stone tomb. The shape is different from the grave stone slab propped as in the city Waikabubak. Grave stone that was here made of solid rock with more than two meters high and decorated with ancient writings and drawings.

Sitting beside an ancient stone tomb with a beautiful beach to watch the waves crashing, I understand why so revered would Sumba cultural wealth and natural beauty. Soft white sandy beaches and coral flanked by high cliffs reminds me of Tanah Lot in Bali. Of course, the beach is much more beautiful and very quiet. Unfortunately I came a cloudy day so could not watch the sunset.

On the beach I met the old man named Thomas who played traditional musical instruments made of wood. Excerpt of strings adds a magical atmosphere that feels a sense of the place. Fatigue due to travel by motorcycle for two hours straight away.

The village is situated in the area of Kodi, Sumba Barat Daya. Kodi is on the western tip of the island of Sumba. This place is about 80 kilometers from the city where I was staying, Waikabubak. Seen on the road map is a bit twisted, but this is the way most good condition.

This time I was escorted by a guide named Timothy Pingge, a native of Sumba. Although he says the way we passed the most good condition, nonetheless we have to pass through puddles and potholes. Along the way we met a group of school children who smile and friendly greeting every rider who passed them. "Day's mother, father afternoon," they said. The clouds hang so several times we had to take shelter from the rain.

Fields, houses on the edge of the road with grave stones in the courtyard, ravines and forests into an amazing treat for the eyes all the way. Before leaving, we bought souvenirs villagers. Cigarettes for fathers, betel nut for mothers and sweets for children.

Live in an area that is so beautiful had little effect on the welfare of the villagers. Only segelitir of those who make a living from the sea. Moreover, this village consists of only five traditional houses. Fires burned four years ago almost all the houses in the village. Of the 13 houses, only one survived.

Sumba traditional village does have a high risk of fire. Roof made of reeds flammable in the dry season. The fire spread with the wind, so the fire is usually destroys all the houses in the area.

Rebuilding the custom house is not cheap. Villagers told him that a house requires four main pillars to remain standing. "One timber cost the same as a large buffalo," said the residents of the village. That's just the cost of the main mast, not counting the cost to build the walls, floors and roofs. In addition to the costs, materials previously easily obtained from forests is increasingly difficult to find.

Subsequently I visited Kampung Paronabaroro. Conditions villages in this area is different from that of my hometown Waikabubak explore the city before. Its remote location makes this village is still very simple. Marapu belief still held tightly by the occupants.

The old woman wearing a cloth topless. Men and women chew betel nut which makes them spit crimson red. This custom started in their teens and make lips appear as though wearing red lipstick. Horses tethered at the side of the house as a symbol of social status of the family.

The entrance to the village is a path along the approximately 4 kilometers. At the front of the village there is a field full of newer grave stone. Some have been modified by using cement, stone is no longer intact.

Grave stone with older age situated in the center of the village. The complex surrounding a grave stone altar where the conduct of ceremonies. Not just anyone allowed to set foot into the place which is considered sacred.

Electricity had just entered the region at the end of January. The power source comes from generators that fuel is filled by way of a joint venture with several villages around. To save costs, they only use it at night.
